One of the benefits of attending a trade school is cost. In contrast to traditional colleges, it is far more affordable!

Furthermore, the employment outlook is incredible. Another benefit of beauty schools is that they emphasize successful job placement. Because of this, they often partner with hiring companies and provide classes to help you improve your resume and interview skills.

In other words, you can expect to find employment quickly and pay back your loans with relative ease. When you understand this job security, it makes cosmetology school tuition expenses easier to stomach!

In order to see just how good it is, take a glance at these statistics:

  • First, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that jobs for cosmetologists, hair stylists, and barbers will grow by 13% between 2016 and 2026. In other words, that’s 87,600 new jobs! Comparatively, this is a much faster growth rate than that of other professions.
  • Another beauty specialty with a good job outlook is esthetics. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of new esthetician jobs should grow by 14% between 2016 and 2026. In other words, that’s 8,500 new jobs! This includes electrologists.
  • Just like the growth rate for cosmetologists, hair stylists, and barbers, the employment rate for manicurists is a projected 13% between 2016 and 2026.
  • Now, consider this growth rate: the projected job growth rate for massage therapists is 26% between 2016 and 2026.

How Much Does Beauty School Cost?

Generally speaking, cosmetology school tuition can range from $3,000 to $25,000. Of course, this depends on which school you attend and what type of beauty license you want. For example, New York Cosmetology Schools are much more expensive than cosmetology schools in Michigan. But that’s simply because everything is more expensive in states like New York!

Another factor is state specific cosmetology requirements. Some states charge steep fees for licensure and state board exam registration, while others have comparatively low costs.

Additionally, here are some “hidden” expenses to prepare for:

Cheap Cosmetology School
These investments really are worth the investment when exam time rolls around. Click for positive reviews!

These are indeed “hidden” costs because you might not think of them right away. But the money you invest, especially in study guides and practice tests, will only help you succeed.

Less Expensive Beauty School Prices via Alternative Programs

Since the terms “cosmetology school” and “cosmetology license” are rather broad, let’s narrow it down. Basically, a cosmetology program covers everything: hair, skin, and nails. But there are alternatives. While esthetician and cosmetology schools are the most expensive, they are also the longest. In comparison, most states offer licenses for beauty specialties with a narrower focus. Since these specialties are focused on a smaller, more specific areas, the programs tend to be shorter. Obviously, the price of beauty school is typically cheaper if it’s a significantly shorter program!

In order to explore cheaper beauty licenses, consider these options:

  • If you become a manicurist, then you can expect a shorter and less expensive tuition. The nail tech school cost in the United States, on average, ranges from $1,000 to $3,500. (Of course, there are high-end schools that charge much more. But it isn’t important to go to an expensive nail school in order to find a good job. Remember, there will be plenty of manicurist jobs awaiting you after graduation, due to the ever-growing job growth rate!)
  • Another option is getting your barber license. In general, barbering schools cost between $2,000 and $11,500.
  • Yet another shorter beauty school program is makeup artistry. In most states, this specialty falls under the same requirements as either Esthetics or Cosmetology. In that case, the school is just as long, and so is the tuition. However, in some states, less time and money is necessary. For example, Nevada and Louisiana are currently the only two states with separate makeup artistry licenses. But it gets a little more complicated than that, so there are additional states where the beauty school cost is lower for makeup artistry programs.

Financial Aid for Cosmetology School Tuition Assistance

Overall, financial aid for cosmetology school is widespread. This is because a school with accreditation from the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences will have Pell cosmetology grants as well as federal financial aid assistance. Additionally, Stafford Loans are an option for qualified students.

In order to receive Federal Financial Aid, you need to be attending an accredited institution. Even though you usually have to repay Student Federal Loans, they usually ask for small, manageable payments. And, depending on your income level, they may even pardon you for a period of time until you have a well-established foundation.

The Truth About Going to Online Makeup School for Free

According to our philosophy, makeup artistry is best learned in-person. However, taking some makeup classes online can be very beneficial for busy lifestyles. One of the most important things to realize is that online makeup school that’s free is usually not coming from accredited sources. So, while these classes are helpful for your own improvement, they aren’t going to count toward getting your own make up artist license.

Final Thoughts And Your Next Steps

That being said, you should embrace the fact that going to cosmetology school can and will happen! Remember these encouraging facts:

  • Federal Student Loans often give you a grace period. After that, they only require small payments based on your income.
  • Another excellent thing to remember is that you have job security. In contrast, many students racking up far more debt at 4-year colleges are pursuing careers with little to no job security!
  • And don’t forget that wonderful list of free cosmetology grants! Isn’t it great that there are so many organizations within the beauty industry that offer grants freely?
  • Finally, be efficient when searching for schools. As a result, you’ll end up with the best fit for you. In order to make this easy, automate the search process with Campus Explorer. (Remember, this is a free service and you can unsubscribe anytime!)

Without a doubt, the costs are worth it. Cosmetology is a rewarding career, and the chances are very high that you’ll find a good paying cosmetology job very soon after graduation.

Esthetician State Board Exam Basics

Milady Esthetics Practice Test
The state board esthetician written exam typically lasts 90 minutes and consists of 100 multiple choice questions.

Your esthetician state board exam will be divided into two parts. The first is a timed, written exam. This is referred to as the esthetician state board esthetician written exam. The second part is called the state board esthetician practical exam. During the practical exam, you will demonstrate real procedures on models.

9 Tips for Acing the Esthetician Exam in Your State

It’s easy to be nervous about passing your esthetician state board exam. However, it’s important to remember that the top esthetician schools want to prepare you to do well. After all, that’s the key that allows you to finally get your esthetician license. By paying attention in class and taking your coursework seriously, you’re already a step ahead.

So, take a deep breathe and relax: the classes at all accredited esthetician schools are designed to prepare you for this!

The following are nine tips for making your life a little easier before and after the test.

1. Register to Take the Exam

Take a look at your state-specific esthetics licensing requirements and register to take your exam! You can find the hourly requirements and cost in your state by consulting The Top Esthetician Schools in the US.

Before registering, make sure you meet your state’s requirements for the number of training hours. You should also be prepared to pay a registration fee and test fee. After passing the esthetician test, your state will charge a fee for your license. Typically, you can do this online. For more details, click on your state’s name below.

Alabama | Alaska | Arizona | Arkansas | California | Colorado | Connecticut | Delaware | District of Columbia | Florida | Georgia | Hawaii | Idaho | Illinois | Indiana Iowa | Kansas | Kentucky | Louisiana | Maine | Maryland | Massachusetts  Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming

Clear your schedule for the big day!

Give yourself a few months to study, and mark the date on your calendar. (We don’t recommend registering for an exam one week from now!)

2. Prepare All Necessary Paperwork

You’ll definitely need to provide a government-issued form of ID, like a Driver’s License or Passport. For many esthetician exams, you’ll need two forms of formal ID. Additionally, you’ll need written proof that you’ve completed training hours at an accredited esthetician school.

3. Compile Your Beauty Supplies

The exact beauty supplies required in your state board exam kit depends on your state’s individual exam. In the following sections, we’ll look at the specific requirements more in-depth, with helpful lists for you. It’s a good idea to bring extras, in case you lose or break a tool on the day of the esthetician test.

4. Study a Little Each Day

Rather than cramming the week before the exam, study a little each day. Feeling inspired? Spend several hours on a weekend! Don’t be shy; invite some of your esthetician school classmates to study with you!

Esthetician Practice Test Questions

5. Time Yourself

When working through your free esthetician exam questions, time yourself! The actual exam is timed, so make sure you can comfortably answer all of the questions comfortably within the time parameters. Typically, this is 100 questions in 90 minutes.

6. Practice Makes Perfect for the Practical Exam

esthetician practice test

Testers will be judging your performance not only on how well you do, but also on the order in which you do the steps of each practical assignment.

Therefore, memorize the exact order of each procedure until they’re burned into your brain. Make up fun acronyms, write them over and over again – whatever helps you!

7. Sterilize Everything & Throw Out Used Supplies

During the practical exam, make sure to sterilize everything. This includes your hands, the materials you’re working with, and your work area. When you’re finished with a procedure, make sure all of your used supplies end up in the garbage can. Failure to do so can result in point deductions! It’s easy to forget these steps during the test, so reminding yourself beforehand will make it more likely that you follow through.

8. Breathe Deeply, And Relax – What’s the Worst That Can Happen?

Take a few deep breathes throughout the esthetician state board test. Deep breathing has been shown to reduce stress! Remember, the worst thing that can happen is a failure. And that’s not all that bad. Many people fail the first time, but you will have the chance to retake it!

9. The Day of the Esthetician Exam: Show Up Early and Prepared

On the day of the esthetician test, show up at least half an hour early. This gives you time to register and get situated. We also recommend blocking off the entire day for the exam. For example, don’t go out to a social event before the test. Instead, stay home, review your notes, and eat healthy meals.

In this section, we’ll go over the basics of being a medical esthetician.

First, let’s cover the different terms. A medical esthetician (also spelled aesthetician) is an advanced type of esthetician with a Master Esthetician License.  A Paramedical Esthetician is another word for Medical Esthetician.

While basic skin care estheticians work in settings like relaxation spas or waxing centers, medical estheticians work in medical spas or health care offices. Typically, they work with for plastic surgeons and dermatologists. Their job is to give pre- and post-op skin care and teach clients how to care for their skin before and after a medical procedure.

Roles & Duties of Medical Estheticians

Here are a few examples of a paramedical esthetician:

  • Ensure that equipment is clean
  • Provide facial massages for patients after surgery
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records
  • Determine the best makeup to apply for the patient’s skin tone

Get Your Master Esthetician Certification

In order to become a medical esthetician, you need to take a few simple (but challenging) steps. First, you need to find a good medical esthetician school near you. Then, you’ll need to get your Master Esthetician License.

Only a few states offer esthetician programs where you get your Master Esthetician License right away. Most schools offer continuing education for this license. In other words, you’ll typically need to come back to school to get your Master Esthetician License and become a medical esthetician.

Helpful Hint: The United States doesn’t issue estheticians an official “Medical Esthetician License” or “Paramedical Esthetician License.” Instead, your goal should be a Master Esthetician License.

How to Become a Medical Aesthetician

The steps to becoming a paramedical esthetician are the same as becoming a basic esthetician.

  1. First, learn as much as you can about being a medical aesthetician. Since this is so important we’ve included lots of helpful statistics, videos, and helpful links. If you don’t have time to take it all in, then just bookmark this page as a handy resource for when you do have more time!
  2. Next, enroll in an accredited esthetician school near you. Usually, Cosmetology State Boards require 250 to 750 hours of training before you can get your license.
  3. In order to receive your license, you’ll need to take the esthetician state board exam. This consists of both a written (theory) section and a practical (hands-on) segment.
  4. After earning your basic skin care esthetician license, you can go back to school to take a Medical Esthetics training program.

After completing these steps, you’ll be ready for a medical esthetician career!

However, you will need to keep your license current by renewing it according to your state board’s requirements. Make sure you’re aware of any continuing education requirements, and be ready to pay a renewal fee. Typically, states require estheticians to renew their licenses every 1-2 years.

In order to find your home state’s medical esthetician license requirements, check out The Top Esthetician Schools for Certification in the US for a full directory.

Medical Esthetician Careers & Salaries

Medical estheticians make more money than other types of estheticians. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics for Skincare Specialists*, estheticians who work in physician’s offices make much more. On average, medical estheticians make $19.76 per hour. This is an average yearly salary of $41,100.

In contrast, the national average for all estheticians is $16.89 per hour, or $35,130.

As you can see, getting your Master Esthetician License leads to better jobs!

Beauty Academy Near MeIf you’re searching for a “beauty academy near me,” then your head is in the right place.

Beauticians (also called cosmetologists) help people feel better in a wide variety of ways. They beautify the nails, skin, hair, and they also professionally apply makeup.

If you become a beautician, then you can specialize in all of these areas. Or, you can hone in on a specific one. For example, cosmetologists study it all: hair, skin, and nails. On the other hand, estheticians are beauty specialists who focus solely on skin care. There are a lot of different specialties, so we’ll cover them in detail in “The Different Types of Beauty Licenses” section.

In this post, we’ll go over the different types of beauty schools. We’ll also help you find the best beauty academy near you.

Cosmetologist Requirements by State

Every state has a Cosmetology State Board. Each board is a little different in how many hours of schooling they require, and also the different types of cosmetology licenses. Some states require an apprenticeship, while others allow you to substitute an apprenticeship for schooling.

Some states require apprenticeships, so we’ll give you a quick definition. An apprenticeship involves working at a licensed salon, and also learning the trade under a licensed cosmetologist.

Another difference between states is the type of licensure you need to practice certain specialties. For example, most states have a specific “Esthetician License.” However, this sometimes falls under a broader “Cosmetology License” umbrella, and so there is no specific Esthetician License.

Beauty College Near Me

Confused? Don’t worry, because we’ll get into the specifics later in this post. That is, we’ll break down the different types of cosmetology licenses and what they mean.

Looking at your home state’s requirements is a great place to start when searching for beauty academies. Because of this, the next section includes a comprehensive list of beauty license requirements by state.

Beauty School Requirements by State
for Cosmetologists, Barbers, Estheticians, Nail Technicians, Instructors, & More!

In almost all states, beauty specialists need a high school diploma or GED. They also need between about 250 and 2,000 hours at an accredited beauty school (with certain specialties requiring significantly less). They also must pass the cosmetology state board exam.

The state board exam typically has two parts: first a theory section, and also a practical (“hands-on”) section.

Also, the beauty academy you attend will need to be an accredited institution, and so you don’t have to worry about your exam! This is because beauty school classes will prepare you to pass the cosmetologist state board exam.

We also recommend taking advantage of the Milady Standard books, which will definitely help you study for your state board exams.

The following is a list of individual states, their types of cosmetology licenses, and the requirements for each. Credit goes to the American Association of Cosmetology Schools by BeautySchools.org, because it’s the source of this valuable information.

A barber is a licensed hair specialist who focuses on styling boys’ and men’s hair.

Licensed barbers are responsible for cutting, styling, coloring, highlighting, shampooing, and also conditioning hair.

Due to the nature of their job, barbers learn about safety and sanitation practices. In order to learn more, check out “What are the job requirements of a licensed barber?”

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median hourly pay for barbers in the United States was $18.12 in May of 2017. So it’s definitely a job that pays!

According to CosmetologyLicense.com, cosmetologists work mostly as hairstylists and hairdressers. However, their training covers all things beauty.

In fact, this is the “broadest and most all-encompassing profession in the salon industry.” Cosmetologists also learn about nail and skin care. This includes massage techniques, safe sanitation practices, and also business skills.

Additionally, cosmetologists must be experts at the products they use. A big part of their job is making extra sales by educating their clients, and also recommending products to buy.

Cosmetology covers the biggest range of beauty services, so the number of training hours are highest for this profession.

Electrologist License

A licensed electrologist uses electricity to remove unwanted hair. In addition to hair, electrologists also remove moles, warts, and other blemishes. The use of electricity is part of a process called electrolysis, which destroys the skin tissue at the root of the unwanted skin imperfection or hair.

Electrology is complex, so watch the video below for more info.

They clean and give shape to nails, and they may also apply nail polish or other forms of decoration to the nails.

Nail technicians also perform hand and foot massages.

In order to become a licensed nail technician, you’ll need to complete a certain amount of hours at an accredited beauty school.

The number of hours needed depends on your home state, and it varies greatly from state to state.

For example, Virginia only necessitates 150 hours of manicurist training. In contrast, California has a steep requirement of 600 hours.

Barbers/Hair Stylists/Cosmetologists

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for barbers, hair stylists, and cosmetologists should grow by 13% between 2016 and 2026. In other words, that’s a projected 87,600 new jobs in just ten years. Comparatively, this is a much faster growth rate than that of other professions.

Estheticians/Skin Care Specialists

Like barbers, hair stylists and cosmetologists, the job outlook for estheticians is also above average. In fact, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a job growth rate of 14% between 2016 and 2026. So that’s 8,500 jobs in ten years.

As of May 2017, the median hourly wage for skin care specialists was $18.12. That number will just keep getting higher as demand grows.

In contrast to so many other careers, the esthetician employment outlook is growing rapidly. And it isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.

Manicurists and Pedicurists

In May 2017, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a median pay of $11.17 per hour for manicurists and pedicurists. Between 2016 and 2026, there is an expected growth rate of 13%, which means 16,700 new jobs.

Like the previously mentioned specialties, the Nail Technician employment outlook is fantastic.

How to Choose the Best Beauty Academy/Specialty

Since there are so many different beauty specialties, it’s important to give yourself enough time to really look at all of your options.

So make sure to poke around the rest of Trades for Careers, if you’re interested in learning about trades outside of the beauty realm, too.

Here is a list of tips that might help you narrow down your options:

  1. Since Nail Technology generally requires less training hours than others, this is a great fast track specialty for those wishing to become licensed beauty practitioners as soon as possible.
  2. If you’re interested in the most multi-faceted license, then a Cosmetology License might be best for you. If you want to do all the things, this is your best bet. You’ve got to be willing to take the most training hours, but the pay off will be worth it. If there’s a part of cosmetology that you’re especially interested in, such as Makeup Artistry, then make sure to take as many classes that focus on this as possible. You can even choose to focus on something as specialized as Special Effects Make-Up.
  3. If you’re interested in a more focused license with fewer training requirements, then consider becoming an Esthetician or Electrologist.
  4. Again, make sure to check your state licensing requirements and types of licenses available. For example, Florida offers a Hair Braider License. If something this specialized is available in your state, then take advantage of it!

Esthetician School FAQS

There are plenty of questions that bubble up in addition to “where can I find the best esthetician school near me?” Have no fear! In this section, we’ll cover some of the most common questions.

What exactly is an esthetician?

An esthetician is a type of beauty professional who specializes in skin care. This covers a broad range of skin care, including waxing, giving facials, microdermabrasion, body peels, facial massages, and more.

Some estheticians work exclusively in waxing salons, while others work in spas providing a wide range of services. Another type of esthetician, called a Master Esthetician, works primarily in doctors’  offices.

Estheticians provide skin care services, but they also advise clients on appropriate skin care products and practices.

How long does it take to become an esthetician?

On average, full-time programs last about 4-6 months, while part-time programs can run for up to a year or two.

However, different states have different requirements, so there’s no “one size fits all” answer to how long it takes to become an esthetician. In order to find your specific esthetician state requirements, use the list of state links above to find details about your state’s licensing processes.

Another factor that determines how long it will take is whether or not you attend school full time. Since many schools offer both full- and part-time courses, you have the option of finding a school that best fits your needs.

Can you be an esthetician with a cosmetology license?

In most states, cosmetologists may choose to work as estheticians. The difference between a cosmetology license and an esthetician license is in their range of focus.

While estheticians focus on skin care, cosmetologists are trained in more areas, including hair and nail care.

Since it’s different in every state, you should check your home state requirements to see your state-specific requirements.

How much does it cost to become an esthetician?

Again, this answer will sound like an echo: it depends on a variety of factors. First, different states require significantly different amounts of schooling, which affects cost. Also, even the many beauty schools within one state will have a wide range of tuitions. For this reason, we recommend signing up with Campus Explorer for exclusive insights into the esthetician schools near you.

According to Cost Owl, the average cost of esthetician school is $4,000 to $6,000 at a community college. At a private esthetician program, the average tuition is $6,000 to $12,000.

Another factor in cost is the state licensing and exam fees. Again, you’ll want to use the links from the first section to find your state-specific costs.

Can I get my esthetician license online?

Although many states don’t allow you to get your license online, some do allow you to take a certain percentage of your coursework online.

Furthermore, some states place no restrictions! Check out “Can You Really Go to Esthetician School Online?” in order to find your state’s status.

What do you learn in esthetician school?

After searching for the “best esthetician school near me,” many prospective students want to know exactly what they’re in for. It’s a good idea to be informed!

Overall, there are 6 main topics you’ll cover in school:

  1. Skin Analysis
  2. How to Give Facials
  3. Makeup Application
  4. Body Treatments
  5. Hair Removal
  6. How to pass the Esthetician State Board Exam Questions

How much do estheticians make?

According to US Bureau Labor of Statistics, skin care estheticians make an average salary of $35,130, or $16.89 per hour. Estheticians in the top 90th percentile earn an average of $58,810 per year.

The highest paying esthetician industries are:

  • Outpatient Care Centers
  • Physicians’ Offices
  • Personal Services
  • Colleges, Universities, & Professional Schools
  • Medical and Surgical Hospitals

Additionally, the skin care esthetician employment outlook is excellent! In fact, the number of available jobs is predicted to grow by 12% between 2014 and 2024.

Can I transfer my esthetician license to another state?

Typically, you may transfer your esthetician license if you have equal or greater training in your home state. In certain states, there’s a requirement for how many hours of experience as a practicing esthetician you must have in addition to schooling.

Even if you do have esthetician license reciprocity (meaning the license is transferrable), you might still have to take the new state’s esthetician board exam.

(In other words, transferring the hours may get you out of going to another esthetician school. But it doesn’t necessarily get you out of taking the state-specific licensing exam.)

How do I become a Medical Esthetician?

Best Esthetician School Near Me
Medical estheticians make the most money, on average.

You’ll need to get your Master Esthetician License in order to become a medical esthetician. Because of this, you’ll want to take specific master esthetician classes from an accredited institution.

While a few states offer two-tier programs, most schools require you to finish your basic esthetician certification and then return to school to get the more advanced master esthetician license.

Since medical estheticians make more money, on average, this is definitely a wise career choice! Check out How to Become a Medical Esthetician for more information.

What’s the difference between aesthetician and esthetician?

In reality, the difference is mostly in spelling. However, the “aesthetician” spelling usually refers to estheticians who work in medical settings, while the “esthetician” spelling refers to skin care specialists who work in salons and spas.

The Best Esthetician School Near Me:

FAQs for Esthetician Schools in Wyoming

In order to learn more about the top esthetician schools in Wyoming, check out the FAQs below.

What’s the difference between a cosmetologist and an esthetician? Can you be an esthetician with a cosmetology license?

A cosmetologist works with hair, skin, and nails. Comparatively, an esthetician only works with skin care. Therefore, a licensed cosmetologist can do a lot more than an esthetician. Many cosmetologists do work as estheticians.

In contrast, estheticians don’t usually work as cosmetologists. This makes sense because they just haven’t studied hair and nails.

How do I become a medical esthetician?

Many students wonder how to become a medical esthetician in Wyoming, because this is a higher paying specialty.

In reality, there is no such thing as a Medical (Paramedical) Esthetician License. Instead, this term usually refers to a Master Esthetician License.

Esthetician State Board Exam Questions & Prep

First, the top esthetician schools in Virginia really want to prepare you to pass the state board exam. After all, that’s the key that allows you to finally get your esthetician license. (After your minimum hours have been met, of course.)

Hair Removal

Another broad topic you’ll cover is hair removal. Whether it’s waxing, threading, or tweezing, you’ll cover all the latest and most common hair removal methods.

Facials

Another crucial aspect of your esthetician training will be learning to give facials. In addition to learning how to give an incredibly relaxing facial massage, you’ll master the various types of facial techniques.

How to Be a Make Up Artist

In Makeup Artistry classes, you’ll learn how to know when to use what products. Furthermore, you’ll learn the correct makeup techniques used to achieve different looks. You may also learn how to apply permanent makeup.

Body Treatments

Aromatherapy, wraps, and body masks, oh my! At the top esthetician schools in Virginia, the courses you take will teach you how to perform all the different types of body wraps. You’ll also learn the safety and theory behind them.

Skin Analysis

In one word, skin analysis is about safety. And that’s why every treatment you do will begin with understanding your client’s skin type and choosing the correct products to use. You’ll also learn how to catch potentially serious skin problems during skin analysis.

Human Anatomy

Because you’ll be working with the body, it’s important that the top esthetician schools in Virginia educate you on the anatomy of the nails, hair, and skin.

Business Skills & Ethics

Last but not least is business ethics and skills. These classes will prepare you to become a spa manager (if that’s a dream of yours), and they’ll also prepare you for day-to-day life as a professional esthetician.

FAQs for Esthetician Schools in Virginia

Below are three of the most frequently asked questions about top beauty schools in Virginia.

Comparatively, estheticians don’t usually work as cosmetologists. This makes sense because they just haven’t studied hair and nails.

How do I become a medical esthetician?

Wondering how to become a medical esthetician in Virginia? Well, the reality is that there is no such thing as a Medical (Paramedical) Esthetician License. Instead, this term usually refers to a Master Esthetician License.
